About Me

Hi!

I’m Jen, an Historian and heritage consultant based in Perth, Western Australia. I LOVE to research! I have a BA(Hons) in Australian History, Graduate Diplomas in Education and Training and Secondary Education and am just completing a Graduate Diploma in Applied Heritage Studies. I have worked as an Historian and computer trainer in Sydney, a high school teacher in country Victoria and am now back in my home town of Perth where I provide history and heritage related services.

What does an Historian do all day? Read the blog and find out! Mostly it is research and writing. What ends up here is all the detritus, asides, tidbits, extraneousness, offcuts and randomness that I spend my time with – really, these are the best bits!
